The new Lynx Plus replaces the previous Lynx RI control panel and is packed with new features.
The first thing you will notice on the new Lynx Plus is the face lift it received. The keypad/ control panel is much smaller and has a new color scheme. Even though the new Lynx Plus is smaller it still has all the features the previous Lynx had and much more. As electronic devices become smaller and smaller so have the alarm panels we see on the market today.
One of the many new and awesome features the Lynx Plus comes standard with is a new LCD alpha display. In the past in order to know the status of any zone, it would only give you a number display of the zone being violated, and you would have to press the status button to know what area belonged to the zone number being displayed. With the new LCD alpha display on the new Lynx Plus, you now have the ability to get an alphanumeric display of the zone definition of any zone being violated. So if your front door was opened and you were not aware of it, all you would have to do was press the asteric key and instantly you would receive not only an audible message describing the zone but also a display which would read front door open.
Another excellent feature on the new Lynx Plus is the remote access feature. Suppose you just arrived at work and realized that you forgot to arm your home security system before leaving the house this morning. On traditional systems you would have to get back in your car and go back home to arm the system or you could just choose to leave it disarmed and hope that no intrusion takes place while you are gone. However with the new Lynx Plus if this were to happen to you, all you would have to do is simply dial your home phone number and access the system remotely, giving you total access to every arming feature the system offers.
If you are used to leaving your family members messages on the refrigerator, you now have a much better way to do that. With the new Lynx Plus you can now record a message into the keypad and later listen to the message at any given time. This is very helpful for reminders to the whole family.
